AalbertsFoodWise is working closely with the Centre for Development Innovation of Wageningen University and Research Centre to organise a 3-week training course on food safety. Every year some 30-50 professionals from public and private organisations in emerging economies and developing countries are trained on international standards setting, EU and national food safety legislation and policy, implementation of public and private standards, impact on developing economies, and change management. The course is part of the short courses programme for Centre for Development Innovation and is commissioned by EP-Nuffic, It is a joy to meet so many motivated professionals, who are eager to learn and to share experiences from their own practice. Even more enjoyable is to be together with people with so many different nationalities and cultural backgrounds.

Personally, I believe this is one of the best ways to strengthen international linkages, which are so important in dealing with global issues, of which food safety is one.
